President Erdogan talks with Taha Akgul on the phone

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a phone call with Taha Akgül, the captain of the National Freestyle Wrestling Team, who continues his preparations for the World Wrestling Championship to be held in Serbia in Ankara.
According to the statement made by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Minister Osman Aşkın Bak visited the Freestyle Wrestling National Team, which is preparing for the World Wrestling Championship to be held in Serbia between 16-24 September, at the Elmadağ Camp Training Centre.
During the visit, President Erdoğan spoke to Taha Akgül on Minister Bak’s phone. Erdoğan wished success to the national wrestler, for whom he expected a gold medal, by saying, "Let there be no setback!". Taha replied, "God willing, Mr President, I am well prepared."
Erdoğan also wished the national wrestler to get a quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics in this championship. Taha Akgül promised President Erdoğan to repeat his past successes this year.
Taha Akgül asked President Erdoğan to watch the competition on the screen if he made it to the final. Minister Bak smiled when he said, "Not if we make it to the final, but God willing, you will make it."
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan conveyed his greetings to the whole clan and wished them success.
On the other hand, Bak chatted with wrestlers and coaches and received information about the preparations for the championship.
Deputy Minister Hamza Yerlikaya and President of Turkish Wrestling Federation Şeref Eroğlu took part in the visit of Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak.
