Most wanted Rwandan Genocide suspect Kayishema faces court for the third time
Fulgence Kayishema, one of the most wanted suspects of the Rwandan Genocide, appeared before the judge for the third time in Cape Town Court in South Africa.
Kayishema, who has been wanted since 2001 on charges of genocide against Tutsis in Rwanda, was arrested on 24 May.
In Rwanda in 1994, Hutus launched genocide against Tutsis whom they held responsible for the downing of then President Juvenal Habyarimana’s plane, and more than 800 thousand moderate Hutus and Tutsis lost their lives in the 100-day massacre in the country.
