King Abdullah II of Jordan and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met in the Jordanian capital Amman. The meeting, attended by Crown Prince Hussein, reaffirmed the willingness to continue Arab coordination in support of the Palestinians and emphasised the need to protect the holy sites in Jerusalem.
