Gabon transitional government leader Nguema sworn in as "president"

General Brice Oligui Nguema, the leader of the transitional government called the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI), which seized power in Gabon on 30 August, was sworn in.
In the statement made by the CTRI, it was announced that General Nguema was sworn in before the Constitutional Court as "president of the transitional government".
General Nguema, who was the Commander of the Republican Guard, had served as aide to the previous President Omar Bongo until 2009, when he died.
